APEX Online - 2024 : The first-ever talent pool aims to evaluate students' skill sets and award talent through a transparent selection process in front of a wide audience.

About APEX

  • The Asia-Prime Exam (APEX) is an National-level talent search examination for Indian students, ranging from class 1 to 10. It serves as a unique educational measurement and assessment service.
  • APEX is a scientifically designed, skill-based assessment test aimed at identifying the strengths and weaknesses of individual students.
  • APEX is specifically crafted to assess the overall intellectual potential of students, encompassing those in elementary, middle, and high school.
  • It employs conceptual, multiple-choice questions to evaluate how well students have grasped the underlying SKILLS and CONCEPTS of the school curriculum.
  • APEX is a single-paper examination open to all students in classes 1 to 10. The question paper will consist of questions covering Mental & Logical Ability, Mathematics, Science, English, and Higher Order Thinking Skills.
  • Stage-1: The initial examination will take place in December 1st week 2024 at schools, and qualified students will receive participation certificates.
  • Stage-2: The second level of the examination will be announced by December 27th 2024 for students who qualified in Stage-1. The venue for the Stage-2 exam will be at the district center and will be communicated to the schools. Toppers from Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 will be announced at the Stage-2 level.
  • Finale Round: The Grand Finale round will be announced by January 16th 2025 for the top 25 students from Class 4 to Class 10, selected based on their performance in the Stage-2 examination. The Grand Finale will feature a buzzer round hosted as part of a TV show to determine the toppers from each class and award scholarships and prizes.

APEX Talent hunt: 2024-25

Recognition is the best form of appreciation, and each participating student will receive a certificate. The awards will be given to the top 100 rankers in every class.

  • APEX Toppe"The APEX Topper from each class will receive a scholarship of Rs. 1,00,000. The student who achieves the 1st rank and the highest percentage of marks among all the students is declared the APEX-Talent examination Topper."
  • The top 2 to 3 rankers in each class will be awarded a laptop and a tablet PC, along with a memento and a subscription worth 7999 INR for e-learning content from "The Prime Learn."
  • "Ranks 4 to 10 in each class will be awarded a scholarship prize of Rs. 2000 each, and ranks 11 to 25 will receive Rs. 1000 each, along with a subscription to e-learning content worth Rs. 7999 from 'The Prime Learn'."
  • Rankers 26 to 100 in each class will each be awarded Rs. 7,999 worth of e-learning content subscription from 'The Prime Learn.'

APEX-Talent hunt examination rules:

Note:

  • A minimum of 75% marks in the APEX-Talent Hunt examination is required to be eligible for a scholarship. If none of the students scores 75% marks, then scholarships will not be awarded to any student.
  • In the event of any unforeseen scenarios during the screening, selection, filtering, or ranking process, the decision of the Apex-Talent Hunt Academic Council will be considered final and binding.
  • The Grand Finale round will be hosted on a TV show in Hyderabad, along with the scholarship awarding ceremony.

Ranking Criteria

In cases where two or more students score the same number of marks, ranks will be determined based on the following criteria (weightage will be given from top to bottom):

  • Rule 1 - The student who obtains more marks in the Mental Ability and Reasoning Section will be assigned a higher rank.
  • Rule 2 - The student who obtains more marks in Mathematics will be assigned a higher rank.
  • Rule 3 - The student who obtains more marks in Science will be assigned a higher rank.
  • Rule 4 - Students who obtain more marks in English will be assigned a higher rank.
  • Rule 5 - The time taken by a student to complete the exam paper will also be considered. The student who takes less time will be assigned a higher rank.

Quick notes on examination pattern

  • Syllabus: The question papers will comprise questions from the following subjects: Mental & Logical Ability (32%), Mathematics (28%), Science (25%), and English (15%).
  • Negative Marking: Each wrong answer incurs a penalty/negative marking to control hindsight bias.
  • Single paper examination: The APEX online exam is a multi-subject single-question paper exam with detailed reports on performance.
  • Exam duration: 60 minutes. Number of questions: 35 questions for students from class 1 to 4. Exam Duration: 90 minutes. Number of questions: 60 questions for students from class 5 to 10.

How It Works?

APEX Talent Hunt Examination is a comprehensive scholarship examination that occurs in three stages: at the school level, district level, and in the Grand Finale TV show, respectively.

Stage-1

The initial examination will be held in December 1st week 2024 at school, and qualified students will be awarded a participation certificate.

Stage-2

The second level of examination will be announced by December 27th 2024 for qualified students from the Stage-1 examination. The venue for the Stage-2 exam will be at the district center and will be communicated to the schools. Toppers from Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 students will be announced at the Stage-2 level.

Stage-3: Grand Finale, Finalists shown in TV show

The Grand Finale round will be conducted on January 16th 2025 for the top 25 students from Class 4 to Class 10 who have been selected based on their performance in the Stage-2 examination. The Grand Finale will feature a buzzer round to determine the top performers from each class, who will be awarded scholarships and prizes.

The APEX Talent Hunt Examination is an advanced test designed to challenge students in applying their learning and critical thinking skills by answering thought-provoking questions, which are not typically found in standard tests.

  • This comprehensive scholarship examination is open to all students from class 1 to 10. Students can register online or at their schools by contacting the school administrator.
  • APEX is committed to ensuring a fair examination process, which consists of three stages to identify hidden talents effectively.
  • Students are required to participate in the APEX Talent Hunt Examination across three stages, which will be conducted at the school level, district center level, and culminate in a Grand Finale TV show.
  • The APEX Talent Hunt Examination (APEX) is a single-question paper exam that includes questions from Mental & Logical Ability, Mathematics, Science, and English.
  • Exam Duration: 60 minutes, No of questions: 35 questions for students from class 1 to 4. Exam duration:90 minutes, No of questions:50 questions for students from class 5 to 10

  • Negative Marking: There is a negative marking system for incorrect answers.
